Fundraising

We regularly carry out fundraising activities in order to both boost our profile and also raise squadron funds. We do Tombola's as well as Bag Packing at local supermarkets and sponsored walks. In christmas 2006 and 2009 we did bag packs at Sainsburys, Ringwood, collecting money to help fund our activities. The 2006 bag pack paid for our flight suite and the 2009 funds have gone towards a new minibus. Helping out at car parking marshals at local events is another way we help to raise our profile as well as support the local community. We take part in the Fordingbridge Festival and the Ringwood Carnival with recruiting stands and sell cakes and also do a tombola. We are always looking for new and innovative ways to raise money for the Squadron so if you have any ideas please get in touch.

As well as trying to raise money off Squadron, we also hold fun evenings at the Squadron to raise money. A great example of this is thr Squadron Race Night where cadets and parents come along for an evening at the races. 6 wooden horses are pulled along the drill hall by a length of string being would in by a person at the other end. We break half way through for a Fish and Chip's supper and the Squadron takes a percentage of the winnings from each race.
